London, 1 October 2026: Insurance Insider ILS has launched the Sidecar Tracker, a new data tool that brings together sidecar deals across the insurance-linked securities market.
Sidecars have been one of the biggest stories in ILS over the past 18 months. They allow outside investors to back a (re)insurer’s or MGA’s book of business, alongside cat bonds and collateralised reinsurance. Aon reports that sidecar capital grew 50% to $23bn in the 18 months to June 2026, and new casualty and specialty deals are bringing private credit, private equity and sovereign wealth investors into the market.
The Sidecar Tracker gives subscribers one place to see who is doing what, with whom and when. Drawing on Insurance Insider ILS reporting, it shows deal size, sponsors and lead and follow investors where these have been disclosed. Users can filter by casualty and specialty, property cat and MGA-linked deals, and click through to the original coverage.
The tracker is built for:
The tracker will continue to grow as the Insurance Insider ILS team reports on new deals as they happen.
“The Insurance Insider ILS Sidecar Tracker keeps tabs on new and existing sidecar deals, including their size, their lead and follow investors and their (re)insurance sponsors. Subscribers can segment deals by casualty and specialty, property catastrophe and MGA-linked business. It’s a reference tool for ILS managers, (re)insurers, investors and service providers, giving them one place to see which deals have been done by whom and when, with links back to our original reporting.”
